TOBY GOODSHANK
Consummate antifolk folk singer Toby Goodshank (of The Moldy Peaches) is touring in support of the 10 year anniversary vinyl reissue of his album Truth Jump Fall (a joint release between BB*Island / Lousy Moon Records / Tiny Room Records). “This album is unusually sombre and haunting in tone, written in the period following the death of his father and bringing his prodigious skills as a songwriter to bear on processing the accompanying grief and trauma. The lyrics, as ever, include a bricolage mosaic of cultural artefacts, lurid sexual outbursts and cryptic storytelling which twists this way and that, lulling you in before unleashing disarming clarity.” (Myles Manley)

These intimate acoustic shows will also feature support by exploratory NYC musician Leslie Graves, who crafts dreamy, luminous songs that expand our perceptions of rebirth and change. Leslie will also perform alongside Goodshank, augmenting Truth Jump Fall with mellifluous harmony vocals.
DASSUAD
What if music travels faster without us moving? Dassuad is somewhat of an enigma. Playing live in different settings, adding music to movies and TV-series, producing a ‘Dutch popclassic’ according to the VPRO gids, but never that real breakthrough. Is it because the music is too filmic, or it doesn’t resonate enough hooks? The signature vocal and clean and crisp sound, as much as the brilliant songwriting put Dassuad somewhere in the eye of the storm.
