THE SKEPTIKALS
With a heavy organ, smooth sax, grooving guitar, fat bass & funky drums, The Skepticals play a mix of various styles: boogaloo, New Orleans, mod-jazz, spy-fi and rhythm ‘n blues. The repertoire mostly consists of original compositions, in which sometimes the eerie theremin is used. Two tracks were released on vinyl: ‘DIABOLIK’ (Tardam Records / AcidJazz) and ‘CHILLS’ (Amsterdam BeatClub vol.3, Sonic Rendezvous). This swinging quintet has the Skeps edge.. Sho ‘Nuff!
