Hard Solidarity – UAWC Fundraiser

Film: Arna’s Children
The film’s story revolves around a children’s theater group in Jenin in the Palestinian territories established by Arna, an Israeli Jewish political and human rights activist.
The film combines footage from Arna Mer-Khamis’s youth theatre and education activities in Jenin in the 1990s with footage and interviews from the Second Intifada. Of the ten former theater children, several would go on to play leading roles in the 2002 Battle of Jenin or otherwise participated in fighting.

Musical Line-up:
Cold in Church, Lulu and Britt Gasslitt X DJ Red Flag
Cold in Church will intertwine poetry readings with cathartic songs that resemble litanies. The songs borrow from doom the unrelenting need for mourning as an artistic position. Cold in Church is first and foremost a dreampop band, but through our rehearsals and commitment to collaboration we’re weaving space for transness, betrayal fantasies, you name it.
Lulu is a DJ with an untamed sound. Jumping back and forth from moody vocals to dub-heavy rhythms and dark electronic bass, listening to her sets is a body-stimulating experience. In her most recent radioseries 𝘴𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳.𝘰.𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 on LYL Radio (2023), Cashmere Radio (2024) and Noods Radio (2025), she explores the four elements through music and mixing. Fire will make your heart pump, water will make you sway on pop melodies.
Britt Gasslitt X DJ red flagwill bring a high paced genre fluid dj set.
