New York Jazz Club brings the irresistible vibe of the Big Apple to Amsterdam!
Live: SOUL JAZZ MANIA, Taylor Burgess & Lachy Hamilton Trio
DJ Moonshine
Amsterdam has a long history as one of the European capitals of Jazz, next to Paris, Copenhagen and London. Many American legends such as Chet Baker, Ben Webster or Johnny Griffin spent a significant amount of time in the Netherlands. Influenced and schooled by these grandmasters there is a whole generation of Dutch legends such as Rita Reys, Pim and his brother Ruud Jacobs, John Engels or Han Bennink that have been passing on the knowledge to future generations of jazz musicians. While not always very visible to the public eye, this music has always been very alive in Amsterdam.
SOUL JAZZ MANIA
Soul Jazz Mania are going for the funky late 1960s early 1970s Soul Jazz Sound. They guarantee infectious grooves, catchy melodies and eclectic soloing. Songs might last ten minutes and more, but you’ll be dancing every single one.
Frank Groenendijk – saxophone
Linus Eppinger – guitar
Timothy Banchet – keys
tba – bass guitar
Robin van Rhijn – drums

Taylor Burgess
An international voice for the modern renaissance—from Amsterdam to the Metropolitan Opera.
Taylor Burgess grew up by the water on the East End of Long Island, but her artistry far exceeds the boundaries of a hometown stage. She performs from the unique perspective of a global citizen, bringing an incisive wit and a “Now Renaissance” energy to her interpretations of both classical and jazz repertoire. With a voice that holds both the elegance of the Metropolitan Opera and the soulful grit of jazz classics, she combines a vintage, timeless sound with modern, innovative material to thrilling effect. Taylor will be accompanied by two of the best that Amsterdam has to offer, Durk Hijma on guitar and Ties Laarakker on bass.

Lachy Hamilton Trio
Lachy Hamilton is an imaginative young tenor saxophone player, hailing from the small community on Scotland Island, Sydney, Australia. Next to being a strong player, Lachy also arranges for small and larger ensembles and has become one of the driving forces on the Amsterdam jazz scene since his arrival from Australia in 2024. At the New York Jazz Club he will present his own trio with a young, powerful and creative rhythm section.
