Kus de Vloer: Dixi + Chrysalis + DJ’s Sjaak/Grachtwater

Kus de Vloer is de eerste van hopelijk vele edities vanuit een simpele overtuiging: live acts die je wat laten voelen. Of het nou is dat je zo hard gaat in de moshpit dat je op je bek gaat en op die manier een potje tongt met de vloer, of dat je zo ontroerd bent dat je nog net niet op je knieën gaat om de vloer te kussen. Wees welkom en voel.
DIXI
EN: Dixi is an Amsterdam-based indie glam band. Their music is inspired by the garage rock revival of the early 2000s, combined with aspects of 80s rock and modern-day pop. Their compositions consist of hard-hitting bass lines, catchy melodies, whirl wind drums and shoutable hooks. Together this four-piece create an inviting environment with their fast-paced style.
NL: Dixi is een indie glam band uit Amsterdam. Hun muziek haalt inspiratie uit de heropleving van garage rock uit de jaren 2000, samengesmolten met elementen van jaren ’80 rock en hedendaagse pop. Hun muziek is te herkennen aan keiharde baslijnen, aanstekelijke melodieën, meeschreeuwbare hooks en razende drums. Deze 4-koppige band creëert iets magisch waar je bij wil zijn.
CHRYSALIS
EN: Chrysalis is a five piece experimental rock band based in Amsterdam. They offer psychedelic soundscapes, potent punk-rock tunes, and spacey melodies. Have a laugh, a cry, and be sure not to forget your dancing shoes! It will be an experience worth escaping to.
NL: Chrysalis is een vijfkoppige experimentele rockband uit Amsterdam. Ze bieden psychedelische soundscapes, potente punktunes, en spacey melodieën aan. Kom lekker keten, huilen, en vergeet niet je dansschoenen mee te nemen! Het zal een unieke ervaring zijn om in te ontsnappen.

EN: Amsterdam-based vinyl DJ Sjaak (@bootlegsjaak) has been actively spinning records for the past 6 years. Playing in active squats and underground venues, but she is also a regular at places like Paradiso, Markt Centraal, Skatecafe, TNP radio and Garage Noord. Her sets, always danceable and energetic, range from post-/punk and rock ‘n roll to the most danceable habibi/disco funk and multiple new wave genres. If you hear a scratch in one of the records, then at least you know that music is tangible ;).

NL: Mokumse DJ Sjaak (@bootlegsjaak) draait al 6 jaar plaatjes. Begonnen in kraakpanden en underground venues, wat ze nog steeds met liefde doet, is ze inmiddels kind aan huis bij plekken als Paradiso, Markt Centraal, Skatecafé, TNP Radio en Garage Noord. Haar sets zijn dansbaar en vol energie, en een mengelmoes van postpunk, rock ‘n roll, habibi funk/disco en allerlei soorten new wave. Als je een kras op een van de platen hoort, weet je ten minste dat de muziek tastbaar is ;).
