In 2014, I said yes. My friend Emma invited me to have gelato outside the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, and then proposed a two-month road trip across the USA. Initially, I thought it was a joke until we booked the tickets and scrambled to gather funds to make the trip a reality. The photographs taken during that trip serve as the medium, offering a glimpse into the juxtaposition between the peaceful tranquility of the natural world and the tumultuous emotions that often accompany the journey into adulthood.
