Fellatio is a self proclaimed Avant-Garde Disco Punk Post-Penis Krautpop trio. One of the newest projects spawned from port city Rotterdam, join the likes of Snapped Ankles and Fat White Family in showing that Krautrock can still be an exciting proposition in the 21st century. Drawing parallels to British contemporaries Fat Dog and Warmduscher as well, they’re building a reputation for themselves with extravagant and unrestrained performances and tunes that are as poetic as they are pulsating. Has there ever been a band that fans of The Fall and Venga Boys can enjoy in equal measure? Thought so.
My Purse is the newly formed local supergroup FKA Saus. My Purse have slowly made waves in Amsterdam. With members from Yodel Queen, Cardigan Inn and Hondenfokker, they bring a new mutli-vocaled celebration of playful punk and lots of fresh energy.
Jaap van der Velde (also in The Homesick) makes experimental choir pop music as Byinoar. He uses a vocoder, effects, loopers and a cheap microphone. It sounds like budget Enya on steroids or football hooligans singing folk songs from the future.
