On July 12th, Devon Rexi, Amsterdam’s up-and-coming no wave band will perform before the red curtains of De Nieuwe Anita.

The music of Devon Rexi (South of North) is made up of sounds from many “dimensions”. It is a mix of trip hop, post-punk and layerings of cut up samples. Expect to dance, slowly and heavily, to Devon Rexi’s play on funky, contemporary and “diasporic” downtempo. We can not wait to jam out to them together with you. Listen to their latest EP below and you can hear what words can only try to describe.

The brains behind South of North, Fry Ry & Marathonman will provide interesting selections of their records all throughout the evening.
