Fundraiser in support of activists in the Ecuadorian Amazon!

After helping achieve the historic referendum to keep oil underground in the Amazonian Yasuní rainforest, Ecuadorian activists (from Yasunidos organization) are now facing political persecution and disproportionate legal sanctions.

Yasunidos environmental defenders members are being fined USD 18,000 over alleged campaign reporting irregularities, including a discrepancy of only 39 cents.

This fundraiser supports their legal defense and continued fight for the protection of the Amazon rainforest, Indigenous territories, biodiversity, and democratic participation in Ecuador.

We refuse the criminalization of environmental defenders.
