Rock Supplies celebrates its 30 years anniversary. The bands and DJ of this night have their home base in the legendary rehearsal studios in de Baarsjes. Everybody is welcome to join the party.
Spull
Spull is a 9-piece international ensemble from Amsterdam, known for its instrumental funk-fueled soul and uplifting afro-jazz. With a lineup featuring three horns, two percussionists, drums, bass, keys, and guitar, Spull brings a high-energy live show packed with hip-moving grooves, raving horn melodies, and a spicy touch of cinematic filth. Kicking off their journey in Amsterdam’s club circuit (Cinetol, OCCII and of course De Nieuwe Anita), Spull quickly gained momentum, hitting stages like the Breda Jazz Festival, the Jazz Festival Delft, the Over de Top Festival, and several tours in Germany.
T&A Connection
Virtuoso and straightforward. T&A Connection houses this powerful combination. The latest Amsterdam superband consists of lifelong friends who find each other in the love of music. The guitars tandem is the core of the band. Guitarist Martijn (a.k.a. Tinus) Smit and bass player Arry Niemantsverdriet – composer of the songs and owner of Rock Supplies – have a magic connection through their instruments that results in dazzling rock riffs. The instrumental tracks are reminiscent of the best of Mother’s Finest, Santana and Van Halen. Modern funk elements are always lurking and also afro and latin come into play. These influences are not surprising when you realize where the band members have made their mark.
