GOOD TIMES is a feel-good answer to the ups and downs of living in these mad times. A delighted, vinyl-only, fully analogue party celebrating the sounds and rhythms of the Golden Age of Disco in all its variety: Hustle, Shuffle, Funky, NY club, Boogie, Euro Disco, Italo, Hi-Energy, New Wave, Electro and even danceable Rock.

Named after the disco classic penned by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic, the Good Times Disco Party is a tribute to the bygone heyday of the music industry and to the pop’s most hedonistic genre, DISCO. In addition, the name suggestsa hidden meaning – an ironic view on the Brand New World of high tech, so distant that a common person has become invisible from those heights. By dancing to disco we’ll reclaim our own non-algorithmical but highly rhythmic realm of physicality, joy and delight.

Good Times is based in Amsterdam and evolved at the regular parties at De Nieuwe Anita, a pearl of indie-Amsterdam. Curated by Dr. Goldfinger, the Good Times DJs are all vinyl fetishists and lovers. Goldfinger is an experienced DJ who found his way back to disco by way of early-’90s warehouse raves.

Goldfinger’s set contains mostly less-known disco club hits that will defy the common perception that disco music is middle of the road. But, of course, there is no way to escape the disco classics from Donna Summer and Michael Jackson, spiced up by dance-rock hits by ZZ Top and Kiss.

Expect bubbles, cocktail bar, broad lipstick smiles, fresh moustache and hustling bodies! Dress-up, flirt, be hot, glamorous, sparkling, and superficial. Be yourself, but work hard on your dance moves!
