Indie in Town returns to the Nieuwe Anita for the first time in 2026 for a noisy, extravagant edition. The promoter agency celebrated their 10th anniversary in Amsterdam last December and are more than ready to start this year off in their all time favourite venue on the 10th. This time they welcome Y (uk), Death Sells and Tom Forever to the stage. Furthermore, they will be treating you to a dj set by Mx Terrible and a zine-market with publications by Jules van Eijs, Spookstad and more. Buying tickets early is celebrated and rewarded, even appreciated. Don’t sleep on the early bird discount. Its (very) limited.

Emerging from the creative crucible of London, Y is a genre-defying band founded in 2023 by Adam Brennan and Sophie Coppin during a period of isolation. The duo discovered an uncanny synergy in their music-making, blending shared tastes with contrasting stylistic approaches. This paradox birthed the eclectic, unpredictable sound that defines Y—playfully described as “wonk rock,” “Gameboy thrash,” and even “Egyptian wedding music.”
